London Fashion Week // SS17

I got to attend London Fashion Week this past weekend at it's new location on the Strand. As always, they put on a great presentation and I loved seeing all the latest trends.  Here is what we should be looking out for, and wearing, during Spring and Summer 2017.  I'm so excited for summer now!

FLORALS

I know this one always comes around but it's just so perfect for Spring.  Loving the clashing floral prints this year.

OFF THE SHOULDER

Looks like this trend is here to stay for the time being and I couldn't be happier about it.  Cue me rushing to ASOS now to buy all the off the shoulder tops for summer!

Which is your favourite trend from this season?

I Built A Wall.. A Shoe Wall

You've probably seen these all over Instagram and Pinterest but as soon as I saw them I knew I had to build myself one.  I have soooo many shoes and I'd say my shoe addiction is bigger than my clothes or handbag addiction.  So, I finally got down to Ikea and bought myself this shelving unit which is the perfect size to fit your shoes on.  They have smaller ones and different colours.  This one was £75.

Good ole Ikea with their flat pack materials and instructions it only took my mum and I around an hour to install.  Then probably another 2-3 hours for my to arrange my shoes and bags on it haha.  I'm obsessed with it though and can't stop staring at it.  So sad, I know. Luckily I have quite a large room so it doesn't take up too much space.  I'm just wondering whether the trend will pass and I'll get bored?  Oh well!

For now it's staying and I couldn't be happier except with all the empty shoe boxes I now need to dispose of.  What do you think of it?  I think Carrie Bradshaw would approve :)  And Mr Trump, if you're reading this, these are the kinds of walls you need to be building haha. Now just to build another 3 for the rest of my shoes!

Coziness Is Trending

My favourite outfits to wear when you have February Blues!

Nothing like a cosy grandad cardigan!  This one is from Banana Republic
Leggings; the ultimate in comfort especially when travelling.  I love these ones from Misguided with the ripped knees which makes them on trend too!

Harem pants are so comfortable and even more so when you want to keep cool in warmer climates.  These ones from Next came in so handy for Morocco.

And finally a cosy faux fur jacket for those cold winter months.  This one is from Missguided.
How do you like to keep cosy?

February Blues

I don't know if February Blues is a thing but it is now.  It's so cold, no-one has any money, nothing really happens until Fashion Week and then it goes back to being meh.  Aren't I cheery today!  Maybe I'm just miserable because fashion week is basically over and I have nothing else to look forward to?  I need a holiday!  I think I will look at places this weekend.

Does anyone have any exciting plans coming up?  I need some inspiration.  One thing I am looking forward to is building my shoe wall which I will do a full bedroom tour post on soon.  I hope it's going to look as good as I envisage!

Anyway, sorry for such a rambling post.  I cannot wait for Spring and holidays and longer days.  Oh and a new wardrobe.  Fashion Week has me so excited for all the new trends.  I will do a full post on it soon.  For now, I'm just going to keep pushing on until this miserable month is over and the sun appears and my writer's block goes away!

How has your February been?

Denim and Leather

Predicting another trend for Fashion Week and probably one of my all time favourite trends which I think is so classic and timeless.

Plaid

London Fashion Week is kicking off this weekend and I could not be more excited!  I love looking at all the new trends and then going out and buying a whole new wardrobe.. or sometimes checking my wardrobe for what I already have because let's face it, I generally always have something similar I just tell myself it's different ;)

I also really love to try and predict the trends and this season I'm predicting plaid or gingham is going to be big.  It's great because it's one of those trends that can be dressed up or down and I feel like a lot of trends are becoming more casual now which is perfect for plaid wearing as I love a good plaid shirt.

2 Easy Techniques For Anxiety

Anxiety isn't really anything I have ever suffered with but as I get older I find myself worrying more and overthinking everything!  It's so annoying because as a teenager I was always so carefree and perhaps even reckless but now I can't remember the last time I did anything spontaneous!

Although I wouldn't say I suffer with real anxiety I do know people close to me that do and I had a horrible time a few weeks ago where I drank too much coffee and it left me anxious for the rest of the day!  It was not a nice feeling at all.  So what do we do about it?

Well first of all, avoid the coffee as much as you can.  If you really have to drink it then make sure it's before noon else this will just heighten any worries you already have unnecessarily.

Another great method is to concentrate on your breathing.  Slow and steady breaths until you feel calm.  I actually use this technique for helping me sleep also and it works!

Do you have any techniques for dealing with anxiety?

The Winter It Lip

The colour I have been wearing over and over.  It's a red (shock for winter, I know) but it's just ever so slightly orange and I am OBSESSED!  Now bring on Spring so I can start wearing orangey corals!

The Top I Wear Over And Over

Not going to lie, I have A LOT of clothes, no like seriously it's a problem.. but a good problem.  So obviously I'm quite spoilt for choice when choosing an outfit and don't have to be a repeat offender that often except with this top because this top is just my go-to and I have no shame in admitting I wear it over and over.

It's such a simple white vest with just a frill along the top for a little extra but comes in handy with so many outfits, especially in the summer.  I always pack it for holidays as I can dress it up or down with various different outfits.  AND it shows off your tan great.  It's comfortable and light weight, just everything really!

I bought this one on ASOS but a lot of places do them.  So yeah, nothing groundbreaking but surely every girl has their go-to item?

What's your go-to item?

Pink

I know it was only last week that I was talking about these new boots I bought BUT I do have an obsession with footwear and I couldn't help but purchase these beauties when I saw them on Millie Mackintosh.  My mum actually bought me one of her dresses for Christmas so I styled them together for my birthday meal last weekend.

What do you think?  I'm in love.

February Style Tips

February already!  But honestly, I'm quite glad January is over.  It's such a depressing month and so bloody cold here in London!  Bring on the Spring; warmer days, longer evenings and better outfits that don't get covered up in oversized coats and scarfs.

So what are we predicting for February trends?  I'm actually attending Fashion Week at the end of this month so I could wait until then but I'm going to hazard a guess anyway.

Chunky jumpers will still very much be around which is great because I've bought about a zillion the past month or so!

Lots of white as we go into Spring, a colour I have really grown fond of recently.

Wire rimmed glasses for an edgy vibe.  I'm yet to try these, I just don't think they will suit me?

Sequins and candyfloss hair?!  I'm always down for sequins :)

What do you predict the trends will be for February?
